Anita Barone

Anita Barone, a stage actor with a variety of talent, mostly involved in sitcoms on TV She was offered the ideal chance to shine as Jeff Foxworthy's wife on ABC's "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" which aired for one season between 1995 and 1996. Barone's initial stage performance began at age five years old, in Detroit in the city to which her family relocated from St Louis. In her early twenties Barone was on stage in more than 50 plays mostly at university productions and regional theaters. She portrayed Juliet, the tormented young nun in "Agnes of God," Helen Keller, the main character in "Monday After the Miracle"" as well as Juliet reprised in "Romeo as well as Juliet." She made her screen debut through a brief appearance in "The The Rosary Murders" (1987), had a bit as a character in "Ricochet" (1991) as well as was cast as the lead in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" (1996). Barone was hired by NBC in 1990-1991 as a shareholder for "Carol & Company" which was the failed effort to Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety show. Barone was also in the 1995 USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". She returned to sitcoms that air on a weekly basis as a co-star on "Daddio", NBC 2000 and co-starring with Michael Chiklis.
