Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance compared to that of her classmates. She began considering alternatives. Lennox played the flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. However, she left before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. From 1977 until 1980 she served as the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her solo debut album Diva. The album was released in the year 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a collection of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. is the companion album to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled Now I Let You Go... It is also her first independently released album. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some recognition in the 1970s. Then, she became a part of the band with her fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992, through her debut album Diva. It featured many famous songs like walking on Broken Glass and Why. Medusa an album from her studio, which was released in 1995, features songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Six studio albums by her solo, plus one compilation album are at her disposal.
